These legendary Boothroyd Stuart Meridian active loudspeakers are in full & glorious working order. These sound fabulous. If you’ve heard a pair of these before then you’ll know just how good they are. All the drive units are fine and the built-in amps work as they should. The real wood veneer is in pretty good condition. A few tiny little cosmetic blemishes but nothing at all nasty and nothing that would put you off (see close-up pictures).

The serial numbers show that this is a very early pair. What the serial numbers don’t indicate is that these first generation M2’s used the superb KEF T52 (SP1049) treble unit, along with 2 x KEF B110’s in each enclosure.

Remember pressing your nose up against Lasky’s window when you couldn’t afford them? Well you can now.

The last 2 pictures are from 1984 Hi-Fi Choice, when these lovely active speakers were awarded ‘Recommended’ status and retailed at just under £900 - a significant price-ticket more than 30 years ago.

These come with their original dedicated stands, 2 x mains cables (1 is 5m away from power source and the other is 7m away from the first enclosure and 12m away from power source) and 2 x Linn RCA cables (1 x 2m & 1 x 4m).
