An iconic Quad system. Pre-amp and FM tuner, housed in the original Quad wood sleeve. The 33 & FM3 are in nice condition and in full working order. Pictures 5 & 6 were taken while just using a length of speaker cable as an improvised aerial. Tested for around 2 hours with a Quad power amp - lovely

Currently operating on 200 to 250 volts, converting the pre-amp to 127 volts just requires moving the position of one wire on the power supply board (picture 19). Converting the FM3 to 100-125 volts just requires changing the position of a switch in the rear panel (see pictures 20 & 21).

The wood sleeve is the original Quad solid teak version, very nicely manufactured and dove-tail jointed. There was a sticker on the left side which when removed revealed that a hole had been cut in the side. Presumably this was done to enable the fitting of an FM2 - which would have been a pretty daft thing to do, as the FM2 is a valve tuner which requires ventilation from the top case. The wood sleeve is in good solid condition but with a few little marks and blemishes in line with its age but nothing really nasty, apart from the obvious hole - which is reflected in the price and makes the sleeve almost free.

This comes with all necessary cables and the indoor aerial shown in the first picture. It also comes with your choice of either a 4-Pin DIN to 4-Pin DIN or 4-Pin DIN to 2 x RCA signal output cable.

We do have copies of the user manuals as PDF files on our computer, which we will be happy to email to the new owner on request.
