In fabulous physical condition, complete with user manual and fitted into its original corner-braced plinth with acrylic cover, this classic transcription deck is in full working order and is certainly the nicest example we’ve seen in a very long time.

The motor is smooth and whisper quiet, the main bearing is fine and freshly lubricated, the genuine Thorens drive belt is good, the pitch control and illuminated strobe are fine and 16, 33 & 45 speeds are accurate and stable. The arm-board is ready for any 9” tonearm with an SME type fitting.

Partner this with a decent SME 9” tonearm arm and cartridge and you’ll be surprised how it will easily compare up to a Linn.

Currently operating on 200 to 240 volts / 50 cycles. Adjusting to 127 volts just requires changing one fuse (see picture 18). Change to 60 cycles only requires you to move the mirror strobe assembly to the 60 cycles position. All this information is included in the user manual and is visible in the last four pictures.
