Syrinx PU3 Ipsissima

9 Inch Tonearm - Boxed

One of the first “super arms”, in excellent condition and full and perfect working order.

Recently serviced and re-wired by John Nilsen of Audio Origami, including Cardas flying leads and tags from the head shell and an Audio Origami arm cable terminated with quality RCA plugs and earth lead.

Designed by Scott Strachan the Syrinx PU3 Ipsissima was developed from the earlier PU2 and had improved levels of engineering and finish. The tonearm featured a cigar shaped arm tube with integral headshell in a massive gimbal bearing assembly. The arm tube of the PU3 can be rotated in its mount for cartridge azimuth adjustment. A threaded counterweight is employed which can be locked in position. Anti-skate is of the thread and falling weight type.
