These 1960’s original HJ Leak loudspeakers are all original, unmolested and in full and glorious working order. I had forgotten just how nice these little monitors sound. In fact, listening to these confirms how modern, mass produced designs have evolved into over-hyped ‘Emperors New Clothes’.

Physical condition is actually very nice considering they’re almost 50 years old. They might be classed as bookshelf monitors but these are very well constructed and weighing 10kg’s each, are considerably heavier than you might assume.

These come with their original and very important non-reversible connecting plugs, as seen in the last picture.

The last picture is from our 1966/1967 Hi-Fi Year Book, when these were sold individually as a single enclosure. So, £55 for a pair - a very hefty price tag back in 1967.
