Here is one of the original 1970’s Technics separates - when they really were ‘Made in Japan’, designed & built without compromise and with a host of useful facilities. Remember pressing your nose up against Laskey’s window all those years ago..? You couldn’t afford it then - but now you can.

With a separate mains transformer for each channel, this is effectively ‘dual-mono’ and was the most powerful of the Technics amplifiers at the time - designed and built to very high specifications, as were all of the Japanese shelf-benders of that era.

This is in full & glorious working order, tested for 2 hours with no issues at all. Physical condition is pretty good considering its age. A few little blemishes but nothing really nasty (see close-up pictures).

The last picture is from the 1979 Hi-Fi Year Book, when this amp retailed at a few pennies under £270 - an enormous price-tag way back in 1979..!
